about
I'm a native Californian, born and raised in Los Angeles. I've considered myself an artist ever since I was old enough to pick up a crayon and spent much of my teens drawing and painting. A lot of my early work can be found in my portfolio. I started working on the computer at about that same time, and can remember creating illustrations in MacPaint. I think I've been a PhotoShop user since about version 3.0. Today I work with slightly more sophisticated tools to create digital art and graphic design. While I no longer work freelance, I do design for myself, and friends when asked.
I started designing jewelry about ten years ago, mostly doing bead-weaving which led to a lot of peyote work, then wire-wrapping. Within a few months I realized I had more jewelry than I could ever possibly wear so I decided to start making it to sell. In 2007 I decided to start selling online, and opened my first online shop at Etsy.com. Over the course of that first year I branched out creatively and started painting again, wire-wrapping and finally metalsmithing.
In 2009 I had my daughter and had to hang up my torch for a while, though I continued to express myself creatively through photography and drawing.
Finally, in 2011 I have returned to my bench and hope to be able to start showcasing my work again. |
